Located on 85 acres in the shadow of Mount Rainier, our field was named in honor of Bob Pfeiffer. Bob, along with other founding members of MRRCS, was instrumental in acquiring the beautiful site we enjoy today.
In addition to our 300-foot asphalt & grass runways, you will find trees, fresh air, and plenty of wildlife in our peaceful, private corner of the great Pacific Northwest.
For our MRRCS members, we are happy to announce that in Sept 2023, Pfeiffer Field has it's Official FRIA (FAA Recognized Identification Area) designation approved by the AMA . No Remote ID required to fly at our field.
In April 2025 MRRCS received notification from the AMA letting us know that our FRIA status has been "upgraded" to a ceiling of 700 ft AGL. (It was previously at 400ft.) This is for daylight hours only - civil sunrise to civil sunset - All nighttime flying still must happen under a cap of 400ft.
